Self taught artist Moley Talhaoui (b. 1985) has roots that dates back 2800 years in norhtern Morocco, although he was raised in small swedish town Västerås within a large family with a single mother. From an early age his easiest form of communication was through drawing. His style touches a naive, early modernist language with a dark, contemporary gaze. Outsider art. The characters in his pictures reflects the subconsciousness, animalized figures with thick, painterly stubborness mixes with frail pencil drawings in abstract and geometric patterns. Creatures, often horses mixes with the human figures and a few words to create a suggestive existance.
