Undervegetation - Kokong

    Malin Björklund

Malin Björklund is a pattern designer trained at Norwich School of Art and Design in England.
Malin draws patterns inspired by nature and plants. She works among other things with repeated patterns on fabrics for interiors and fashion, hand-drawn wallpapers and tile designs with traditional pattern design.
Malin creates her own plant kingdom where you do not recognise the usual flora, but forms reminding you of the feeling of a flower or the scent of spring. The motives are hand drawn with ink and water on watercolor paper which gives an ethereal feeling. The walls appear to be volatile vegetations.
The inspiration draws from designers like Josef Frank, William Morris and also by artists such as Frida Kahlo and Henry Darger.
